International House Sabadell
International House Sabadell was founded in 1971. The school itself is comprised of two old style houses on Carrer Escola Industrial [map], a street in the pedestrian centre of Sabadell.
The main reception area is home to a spacious waiting area for students and parents. Reception is open from 09.30–13.00 in the mornings and from 16.00–21.00 in the afternoons, Monday to Thursday. On Friday, it is open from 10.00–13.00 and from 16.00–19.00, as well as on Saturday mornings from 10.00–13.00.
Reception is also home to the school library. Students have free access to a very wide range of books, magazines, English readers and also DVDs. Students can sign these out to practice their English at home whenever they want.
There are 13 classrooms in total in the school. Three of the classroom are located on the patio at the rear of the school and are specifically for our infants' classes. The rest of the classes have use of laptops, interactive whiteboards and CD players. The classrooms are spacious and the majority can easily accommodate up to 15 students.
In addition to this we have a computer room with eight computers which students are free to use at any time for independent study or to follow a Net Languages online course.
A special children's area is located downstairs under the main reception area. Here children can play games in English, watch DVDs, and have a break.
The older juniors and teenagers also have a comfortable place to chat to their friends during their break times.
