Your English friend is coming to visit you on 23rd April. She is very interested to know what we do in Catalonia on St.Georges day. She doesn't know anything about St.George.
Write an e-mail to your friend and explain what happens in Catalonia on St.Georges day. Perhaps you could explain a little about St.George too.
TEENS | ADULTS
You read the following quote from a travel journalist in an English newspaper:
"…don't go to Catalonia. Barcelona is full of tourists and very expensive. The food is horrible and international. I went to Sagrada Familia, which was very interesting but is there anything else..? I think not! To escape I went to the beach, to Salou… what a nightmare – if this is Catalonia's best beach then forget it!"
Obviously we need to defend Catalonia. Write a letter to the newspaper editor pointing out the good things in our wonderful province that the writer has clearly missed.
Remember that register and appropriacy is all important you need to put forward a reasoned argument as to why people should come to Catalonia.
