The refresher course is designed for people who are already familiar with the format of the Chartered Institute of Linguists Translation examination and who may be thinking of sitting the exam in January.
The course centres on exam practice: participants translate past papers and send them in by e-mail for feedback.
The standard course comprises four packs, each with two papers. In the standard format, three of the packs contain one general paper and one semi-specialist paper from either paper 2 or paper 3. The fourth pack contains two semi-specialist papers.
Those wishing to prepare only paper 1 will receive six papers, while those wishing to prepare only paper 2 or paper 3 receive 8 texts from those papers alone.
The refresher course is thus relatively flexible and can adapt to students' particular needs.
