About IH Tarragona

IH Tarragona [ website ] was opened in 1980. The school building is on a broad tree-lined avenue (the Rambla) in the very centre of the city. The school is located in a typical town house and there are 8 spacious classrooms as well as a study area with internet use for students.

The school offers English classes to students from the local population throughout the year and Spanish courses in the summer - in collaboration with IH Barcelona.

Spanish for teenagers (13-17) in Tarragona

Our Spanish for teenagers course takes place in Tarragona, a pleasant coastal resort approximately 100 km south of Barcelona (86 km from the airport) [locate on map].

Course details


Duration 2 to 6 weeks
Ages 13-17
Dates 2012 The course will run from Sunday July 2 to Saturday August 11 and students will be able to stay from 2 to 6 weeks.

Possible starting dates are therefore as follows:
  • 2 July (2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 weeks)
  • 9 July (2, 3, 4, or 5 weeks)
  • 16 July (2, 3, or 4 weeks)
  • 23 July (2 or 3 weeks)
  • 30 July (2 weeks)

Please note that students should arrange arrival flights for the Sunday before their course starts and departure flights for the Saturday after their course finishes.

If it is impossible to arrange transport to coincide with arrival and departure times, please contact us to check that alternative arrangements can be made. Extra nights are usually available on payment of a supplement.
Accommodation Two types of accommodation are available:
  • Host families - single or shared rooms
  • Student residence - single or shared rooms

In all cases, the accommodation is with full board. Students with dietary restrictions or any other special needs are requested to make these known in advance.

Insurance

All students will be covered by a basic insurance policy while in Tarragona. However, we strongly recommend students to take out additional travel insurance in their country of origin to cover any loss, sickness or accident which may occur during the course.
